Poulet Rôti

The night before any public holiday calls for something celebratory. For EKKA Eve, on Tuesday 12 August, we're serving a true French classic: poulet rôti.

A familiar sight among bustling Parisian bistros and markets, for our version, we roast chicken until the skin is crisp and the flesh succulent, served with bronzed potatoes, a savoury jus, plus a pot of housemade mustard and a side salad.

Enjoy it with a glass of 2023 A. Roddda Baxendale Chardonnay from the Whitlands in north-eastern Victoria — light, bright yellow with smoky, toasty barrel and grapefruit aromas.

Finish with tarte tatin for dessert and make the most of the holiday eve.

From 5pm, Tuesday 12 August
